The Canaries boss is not in desperate need of new players and is happy with the current state of his squad, though would not rule out the possibility of bringing in new faces
The Carrow Road outfit are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League matches, and currently sit in eighth place in the table.
Hughton believes there is good competition for places within his squad, but continues to scour the market in the event that a bargain becomes available or his side are hit by injuries.

“As always, approaching January, you don’t know what’s going to happen in the build-up – whether you pick up any injuries, whether somebody offers you a surprise one that you didn’t think about – so we will do all our due diligence and scouting but it’s not leading into January.
“The scouting process is something that’s continual right through the season.
Though the Canaries boss is open to adding to his squad, he acknowledged that January can be a difficult time to conduct business.
“I think if you asked anybody if they could strengthen their team, or the squad, then most people would say yes, they would,” Hughton continued. “But it’s not as easy as that.
“We’ve got a really competitive group at the moment, a strong squad who are really fighting and sometimes players you might think would strengthen your team, it’s not the best time in January.”
