Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann has praised new signing Christian Benteke following his impressive start to life at the club.The Villans have been on a six-game unbeaten run since their 5-0 defeat to Manchester City and talk of discontent regarding Darren Bent has slipped away following Benteke’s impressive form.
The Belgium striker scored twice in the 3-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday and set up Weimann’s goal with a clever back-heel and the young Austrian is delighted with their current form.

"You have seen that the last few weeks he has been outstanding for us up front. He is such a physical presence and I am sure if he continues he will be a tough player to face."
Weimann, who has been at Aston Villa since 2007, is also hoping to maintain his place in the first team: "I obviously want to stay in the team and I feel we've worked well in the last few games. I hope it can be a breakthrough season for me.
"I've played a lot of football lately and that's the first time I've really been doing that regularly with the first team, to get that many games."
