thumbnail Hello,

After missing the Manchester derby last weekend to be with his partner, the Dane returns to the squad for this weekend’s game against Sunderland

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is available for selection once again this weekend after the birth of his first child, a son.

The Denmark international missed last weekend’s Manchester derby to be at the birth but has returned to training to give manager Sir Alex Ferguson a selection headache ahead of their clash against Sunderland.

Despite his first child being born, the 28-year-old admits he could not tear himself away from the exciting derby.

Lindegaard told the club’s website: "I had my phone with me so I was checking up on the score and what was going on all the time. I couldn't leave it completely."

He has described his introduction into fatherhood as "a fantastic experience" and together with Robin van Persie’s 90th minute winner, Sunday was "the greatest day" of his life.
