The Spanish defender has revealed his happiness at the Canaries and has not hidden his intention to make his loan move from Lazio a permanent one in the summer
The former Manchester City man has played an integral part in Norwich’s season so far, which sees the Canaries lying in 12th place after an unbeaten run of 10 games in all competitions.
And, after arriving in August on a season-long loan from Lazio, the 27-year-old has revealed he sees a bright future for himself at the club.
“At the moment I am so, so happy here,” Garrido told reporters. “If things go like they look right now I would like to stay here because I feel so good, so comfortable.
“I’ve been playing, I love the games, I love the minutes, so that is the main thing for a footballer. At the moment I am really, really happy.
“It depends how the team finishes in the league and how many games I play for the team. So at the moment we have to wait and see.”
Indeed, Norwich have an option to extend Garrido’s deal at the end of the season, while the club’s fans have also devised a new song in honour of the Spanish left-back.
“That’s good because every footballer needs to feel that sensation from the supporters and at the moment I’ve got it,” he continued.
“Everything is ready but it takes time times to see how everything is going to happen.

Manager Chris Hughton has also revealed that a permanent deal is definitely a possibility if Garrido continues to impress over the course of the season.
“It’s something that was in our thoughts when we took him,” Hughton said. “We will have an option on him based on how he has done over the period of the season.
“Whether we would like to make it permanent or not, that will be based very much on what we have seen over the season.
“As with most deals, there are some clauses in loan periods and some terms and parts of it that change a little bit, but it’s not game-related and the option will be very much I would think on both sides.
“It’s about what we would like to do and ultimately what he would like to do.”
