thumbnail Hello,

The Scottish full-back is unsure as to why the new manager is adverse to playing him, but is now only concerned with his future at loan club Nottingham Forest

Aston Villa right-back Alan Hutton does not see a future for himself at Villa Park under Paul Lambert following his loan move to Championship side Nottingham Forest.

The 27-year-old former Rangers and Tottenham defender is currently on loan at the City Ground until January 1 following a series of talks with the newly appointed Villa boss in the summer.

Since securing the switch, though, Hutton claims he is no longer interested in his lack of opportunities under his fellow countryman Lambert and insists that his priority now is to establish himself at his temporary club.

“I don’t see any way back for me at Villa," the Scottish international told reporters.

"I was told at the beginning of the season I wouldn’t be playing. It’s been very frustrating. I want to play and through different circumstances I’ve not. What’s been said has done for me there.

"You'll have to ask Paul Lambert why he's not played me. I don't really want to go into it.

"New managers come in and have their own ideas. That is just the way things go. But you have to go out and make the best of it. Forest is a big club and I want to be part of it."
