QPR forward Bobby Zamora is struggling to be fit in time for his side’s vital clash with Southampton, manager Mark Hughes has revealed.
News of the striker’s potential absence leaves his boss with a selection dilemma ahead of the bottom-of-the-table encounter as long-term absentee Andrew Johnson remains out for the foreseeable future, with Djibril Cisse the only fully fit recognised forward.
R’s captain Ji-Sung Park will also miss this weekend’s game, although Ryan Nelsen, Kieron Dyer and Fabio Da Silva have been passed fit for the London side.
“Bobby Zamora is struggling and Ji won’t be ready,” Hughes told QPR’s official website.
“Fabio’s back in the squad, he’s had a good week’s training. Kieron Dyer’s also available.

“Ryan’s [Nelsen] okay, he was a little bit sore earlier in the week but he’ll be fine.”
QPR are yet to win a game this season in 11 attempts and are bottom of the Premier League table, one point behind Saturday’s opponents.
