Busquets refuses to rule out Manchester City move

The Blaugrana midfielder admits that he does not know if a move to Roberto Mancini's side will materialise in the future but feels settled at Camp Nou for the time being

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets refuses to rule out a move to Manchester City.

The Spain international has been linked with a switch to the English champions in the past, with the Premier League side even recently being forced to deny an interest.

But, when the question was put to him, the 24-year-old said that, although he was currently happy in Catalunya, nothing could be guaranteed.

"I do not know if City has spoken to the club or my representative," Busquets told reporters.

"At the moment, I am the same as you. I am living in the present and I'm very happy.

"I would hope to continue at [Barcelona] for many years but I like to live in the present; no-one knows what will happen in the future."

The defensive midfielder also conceded that he is missing the presence of former coach Pep Guardiola around Camp Noum adding: "For all that Guardiola has given me, I will miss him always."

Barcelona are currently top of La Liga after taking 31 points from 11 games.
