De Guzman, who joined on a season-long loan from Spanish side Villarreal, has started five of the Swans' opening seven fixtures and has attributed his successful integration in no small part to the camaraderie he shares with his team-mates.

“There’s a great bond here within the club - it’s similar to my days at Feyenoord. That is so important for a new player who has come playing his football in a different country.
“I was very excited when the interest came from Swansea. It was an easy decision to join, particularly as I knew they played good football because I watched Michel Vorm’s progress last season."
The Canadian midfielder then went on to speak of his admiration for current coach Michael Laudrup.
"I’ve played under the manager at Mallorca. For someone like him – a real legend in the game - to sign me for two different clubs is a massive compliment for me," he added.
"Michael is a coach who wants to play football from the back, which fits in to the club’s style, and we all enjoy playing that way.”
