Watch Lewandowski's deadly double against Wolfsburg

The new Bayern Munich centre forward netted a header before curling home from outside the area as the Bavarians claimed the Telekom Cup with a 3-0 victory on Saturday
Robert Lewandowski has wasted little time in showing just why Bayern Munich were so pleased with themselves after persuading the Poland international to join them on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

After scoring a sublime solo goal in Saturday's Telekom Cup clash with Borussia Monchengladbach, the striker went one better against Wolfburg 24 hours later, netting twice in a 3-0 win.

Lewandowski underlined that he is a threat both inside and outside the area by heading home a cross from Franck Ribery to open the scoring and then sealing victory for Bayern with a terrific curling effort from the edge of the box.

It may only be early days but, after a transfer window in which Barcelona paid £70 million for Luis Suarez, Lewandowski's free switch to Bavaria is already looking like the best piece of business of the summer.
