Dutch club Feyenoord has decided to call Malaysian-born Wan Kuzain Wan Kamal for a second trial after the youngster impressed during his first trial recently.

Wan Kuzain, who trained with the Feyenoord’s Under-16 squad for 10 days starting from the 28th February last month, impressed the coaches enough from the club to invite him for second trial in September.

According to the coaches, the 16-year-old player has the potential to play with any world-class clubs in the future.

His father, Dr. Wan Kamal Wan Napi broke the news through his Facebook account and he is hoping that his son’s dream to play with Feyenoord one day will come true.

Quoted from Utusan Malaysia, Wan Kamal said “Wan Kuzain will be invited to train with Feyenoord’s Academy once again in the future. After having training with them earlier, the coaches and the players admire his talent.”

However, despite achieving another step in his footballing career, Wan Kamal insisted that his son still has a lot to learn in football.

“Wan Kuzain is like any other kid, but he loves football and what he has achieved so far is because of his hard work. He still (has) got a lot to learn and he must learn so much more in order to become the best player,” he added.

Last month, Malaysia footballs scene received the news that the young American-Malaysian player had received called up from Feyenoord to have a trial with the Dutch club.

Kuzain, who was dubbed as the American Messi among his teammates in America, is a St Louis Scott Gallagher player and has been training with USA’s under-17 national team as part of their preparation for Under-17 World Cup in 2015.

Feyenoord Academy has produced some of the greatest players in the world football, including Manchester United and Holland striker Robin Van Persie.
