thumbnail Hello,

The Arsenal midfielder struck twice to sink Crystal Palace, while Manchester City's regular point scorers will have disappointed many after their blank against Chelsea

THE WINNERS

It was a good weekend for Sunderland, who ran out 3-0 winners against Newcastle United in the Tyne-Wear derby. Adam Johnson (6.5) continued his fine form and took his goal tally to six in his last four gameweeks after finding the net at St James' Park.

Five Sunderland players were included in our Dream Team this gameweek and the clean sheet secured by Gus Poyet's men placed Phil Bardsley (4) and Marcus Alonso (4) among the high scorers.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's (6.5) double from his central midfield role made him the joint-highest scorer this gameweek. The 20-year-old had four shots in total during Arsenal's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, so he may emerge as a smart budget option for your side until the end of the season.

Having scored only twice in the Premier League all season, it was a surprise to see Kevin Nolan (6) pop up with two goals to sink Swansea City on Saturday. The midfielder linked up neatly with Andy Carroll (7) and could be another budget pick to consider if the duo recapture their form from last term.

Chelsea's 1-0 win at Manchester City on Monday evening saw unlikely match-winner in Branislav Ivanovic (6.5) but the Serb's goal, along with his clean sheet, saw him register 11 points this gameweek.

Southampton continue to produce shrewd budget options with Adam Lallana (6) and Jay Rodriguez (5.5) both scoring in the 3-0 win over Fulham. But Rickie Lambert (7) was the man who found a space in our Dream Team with a goal and two assists.

GAMEWEEK 24 DREAM TEAM

THE LOSERS

Those banking on their Manchester City players to continue their dominant home form against Chelsea would have been left disappointed as the likes of Yaya Toure (9), David Silva (9), Edin Dzeko (7.5) and Alvaro Negredo (8) all failed to find a way past Jose Mourinho's side.

Many would have gambled on Wayne Rooney (8.5) making an instant impact following his first start from a groin injury against Stoke City. But the striker fluffed two half-chances at the Britannia Stadium and picked up a yellow card to make matters worse.

Wilfried Bony (7.5) is the budget pick for 7.41 per cent of players but the Swansea City striker failed to get a shot on target in his side's languid defeat at Upton Park.

Philippe Coutinho (8) is currently selected by 23.81% of players but the Brazilian failed to register a goal or an assist against West Brom. That blank is now Coutinho's fourth in his last six gameweeks and, as it stands, there are more consistent options around for cheaper prices.

TEAM NEWS

We await the verdict of West Ham's appeal against Carroll's red but if the striker's dismissal is upheld he will miss his side's next three fixtures against Aston Villa, Norwich and Southampton.

Mathieu Flamini (5.5) is suspended for another two gameweeks, while Aaron Ramsey (5.5) has been ruled out by Arsene Wenger for up to six weeks.

On a more positive note for Arsenal, Jack Wilshere (6.5) could be fit for his side's trip to Liverpool on Saturday.

Romelu Lukaku (7.5) missed Everton's 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday but Roberto Martinez believes the striker will miss 'weeks rather than months' with his ankle injury.

Another key figure in Everton's campaign, Seamus Coleman (4.5), is expected to be fit for Sunday's fixture against Tottenham at White Hart Lane after missing the last two gameweeks.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero (10.5) is set to be sidelined for a month with a hamstring injury.
