Injury woes for ATM ahead of vital clash against Sarawak

The Gladiators are likely to be without some of the key players for the opening game of the season as they battle injury problems

ATM are yet to name their best eleven to fight for them next season, with many of their players suffering with a high fever.  The club were supposed to announce their opening day team right after the friendly game against Penang last Saturday but this announcement was cancelled at the last minute.

According to Berita Harian, head coach B.Sathianathan said, “I can’t play some of my players because they (have) got high fever and until now, most of them are still out.”

Sathinathan also gave updates on some of the players who are still out injured and may not be able to return in time for the new season.

He stated that players such as Marlon Alex James, Hairuddin Omar, Rezal Zambry and Mohd Akmal Mohd Nor are some of the victims of the fever; while defenders K.Reuben and Australian Spase Dilevski are also out after receiving treatment due to injuries they picked up during the Penang match.

Sathianathan however is sure that they will able to announce the players just before their first game of the season this Saturday.

ATM is one of the top guns in the Super League after being promoted two seasons ago and they will face Super League newcomers Sarawak on their opening day at the Selayang Stadium.
