thumbnail Hello,

With both sides claiming victory on Boxing Day, Manuel Pellegrini's men welcome Tony Pulis' charges to Manchester and our tipster is backing plenty of goals

Manchester City face Crystal Palace this weekend with both teams fighting at opposite ends of the table.

Although still around the foot of the Premier League standings, Palace moved out of the relegation zone on Boxing Day with a well-deserved 1-0 win away at Aston Villa.

The South Londoners looked down and out in November before former Stoke City manager Tony Pulis was appointed, taking over from Ian Holloway.

The board took their time bringing someone in but seem to have made a wise choice, with Pulis leading his side to three victories in their last five matches and showing real signs that they could beat the drop this season.

Coral don't give them much hope against City though, pricing them at 16/1 (17.00).

City maintained their 100 per cent record at home in the league on Boxing Day, battling past Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium as goals from Vincent Kompany and Alvaro Negredo saw them come from 1-0 down to win 2-1.

Coral price Pellegrini's side at 1/7 (1.14) to take all three points again, while the same firm price the draw at 7/1 (8.00).

With little value being found in City outright or in the handicap market, it's worth looking at total goals to find a bet that stands out. Over 3.5 goals has been an effective bet in City's home matches this season, with the Blues scoring for fun but struggling to keep clean sheets.

Coral price this at 10/11 (1.91) and when you consider City's last eight home games have averaged over five and half goals in each game, it's tough to ignore.

Whilst some may feel City are just worth backing alone on the team goals, Palace haven't struggled to score on the road, finding the net against the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea away while scoring in three of their last four away games in total.
