In his final post of the year Pete has two tips from this weekend's Premier League action as he looks to end the system bet with another doubleWell last weekend we saw a blank when both teams found the net in the Everton v Fulham and Norwich v Swansea games. Let’s hope we can get back on track this weekend in what will be the final set of selections for 2013.
Here we are following a system bet and you are advised to keep stakes reasonable and always try and obtain the best price available.
This weekend we again turn to the Premier League for both selections, with Liverpool hosting Cardiff and Manchester United playing West Ham.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are in a rich vein of form and with Arsenal playing Chelsea on Monday there is every possibility that the Reds could go into the festive period topping the Premier League table.
On Saturday lunchtime they face promoted Cardiff City who have made a reasonable start to their first season back in the Premier League.
However, Malky Mackay’s side do have trouble finding the net away from home and they have now not scored in their last four away matches. Indeed, looking at both home and away form, both teams have not scored in seven of Cardiff’s last 8 Premier league matches.
When Liverpool have faced the bottom sides at Anfield they have won seven of their last eight and six of these matches have seen the “NO” on both teams scoring, and Liverpool have won five of these matches to nil.
Liverpool can be backed at a very tempting 10/11 (1.91) with Paddy Power to win to nil or alternately you can back the "NO" on both teams to score at 8/11 (1.73) again with Paddy Power.
For our second match we head over to Old Trafford where manager David Moyes will certainly be a lot happier after defeating Aston Villa 3-0 at Villa Park last weekend.
This weekend United face a struggling West Ham side who have now failed to find the net in nine of this season’s 16 matches. Here there will be no resting for under pressure Sam Allardyce as West Ham have lost all four of their recent head-to-heads at Old Trafford to nil.
Again those of a bolder nature can back Manchester United to win to nil at 11/10 (2.10) with Paddy Power otherwise again the "NO" on both teams to score can be backed at 8/11 (1.73) with Paddy Power
This will be my last post before returning in the New Year for the Premier League fixtures on 12th January where I’ll be returning with a new system bet. So all that remains for me to do is wish all the readers a very merry Christmas and let’s hope for a Happy and profitable New Year.
