The former PSG coach insists the Welshman is fit enough to feature for Real Madrid after a spell out due to a thigh injury, while rumours persist of a more serious back condition

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Gareth Bale will make his comeback from injury in Saturday's La Liga game against Malaga.

The 24-year-old became the world's most expensive player when he moved from Tottenham to the Bernabeu for £86million this summer, but has not featured for Los Blancos since the 1-0 home loss against Atletico Madrid last month.

However, the 54-year-old coach boss says that the Welsh attacker has fully recovered from his muscular problems.

"Bale's available for tomorrow's game and will get playing time. It's important for him to be part of the team and to play again," Ancelotti explained on the eve of the game in the Spanish capital.

"I'm surprised about the reports about Bale's back injury. They're simply not true. He doesn't have a back problem. Just look at the last few seasons. He would not have been able to play so many games if he had a slipped disc.

"I know about disc protrusions, I had three and they never caused a problem.

"Some say I'm crazy for playing Bale against Villarreal, but I was not the first to play him. He was with Wales before that."

Bale has made three appearances for Madrid so far, scoring once in the process.
