The ATM coach was happy with his team's display after beating PKNS, and is glad to see that they are still keeping up with league leaders LionsXII and Johor Darul Takzim
ATM head coach B. Sathianathan has said that the win over PKNS in the Malaysian Super League last Friday will act as a huge morale boost as players prepare for their upcoming matches this season.
He explained that the most important thing is that ATM did not lose any points and they are still not that far off in chasing the league title.
"I am happy with the win.
"Despite the fact that we made a few mistakes, overall, I am satisfied with the players’ performance.
"They worked really hard in defending and preventing the other team from scoring," Sathia told Sinar Harian.
According to him, the win has shown how his players have managed to bounce back after a disappointing performance against LionsXII.
"I admitted that the win over PKNS was really important, as it built our confidence once again after a poor performance in Singapore.
"Not just that, it also keeps us in the running to be champions," he added.
However, Sathia does not want to be complacent with the win as he believes that there are still a lot of things that need to be done if they want to win the league.
After 14 games this season, ATM currently sit in third place behind LionsXII and Johor Darul Takzim.
