The England manager's representative has been punished by the world governing body for his role in Heurelho Gomes' move from PSV Eindhoven to Tottenham in 2008
Leon Angel breached two clauses of the governing body’s players’ agents regulations whilst overseeing the deal which took Heurelho Gomes to Tottenham from PSV Eindhoven in 2008.
Angel was ordered to pay costs by Fifa's disciplinary committee and also warned that a further breach could "result in more severe sanctions...even a withdrawal of the players' agent license."
A statement released by Angel's company in response to the fine insisted that the problems were “nothing to do with us.”
"The breach of which he has been found guilty is a technical breach only and relates to the completion of paperwork in relation to a player transfer. No question has been raised as to Mr. Angel's integrity or honesty," it continued.
"Mr. Angel understands that another agent involved in the matter has also been sanctioned by Fifa but the governing body has chosen not to make this information public.
"Mr. Angel has requested an explanation for this apparent difference in treatment and is considering an official complaint."
