Chivas USA striker Juan Agudelo admits that a move to Celtic could be intriguing but says that he is still considering all of his options.

The forward is intrigued by the possibility of playing in Europe and has impressed on a week-long trial with the Scottish champions.

"We'll see. I'd have to consider a lot of things but, definitely, Celtic is a great club," Agudelo told STV. "This kind of move has been on my mind for as long as I can remember playing soccer.

"Going and playing in Europe is what I would like to do. This is, right now, where the best football is being played. I would love to play here."

Bhoys boss Neil Lennon declared: "He has looked very good, we have been very impressed with him. We are hoping he will stay around for a few more days and we can talk with his representatives.

"I haven't had the chance to sit down with everyone and discuss it but myself and my backroom team have been very impressed."

Agudelo, who has one year remaining on his current contract with the MLS side, noted that the Scottish supporters might be factor in any decision to move.

"[It's] definitely something I thought of as soon as I heard the word Celtic," he continued. "I know the history. It’s basically a religion for many."

There is a possibility that Agudelo could stay in MLS, however. Sources have told Goal.com that the league is considering giving the young forward a Designated Player deal similar to Brek Shea's at FC Dallas. Agudelo's agent, Ron Waxman, was unavailable for comment.
