Argentina hand first call-up to Ricardo Centurion for Brazil contests

Alejandro Sabella has announced his 23-man selection for the friendly clashes with the Selecao, which includes a place for the Racing Club starlet
Argentina have announced their 23-man squad for the Superclasico de las Americas matches with Brazil.

Alejandro Sabella's men will face their arch-rivals on September 19 in Goiania, before hosting the second-leg in Resistencia on October 3.

Ricardo Centurion, the Racing Club starlet, who has been receiving admiring glances from a number of top European clubs, has been give his first call-up, while Colon de Santa Fe's Lucas Mugni also gets his chance for the Albiceleste.

The squad is a mixture of youth and experience, with Maxi Lopez and Sebastian Dominguez also given their chance to shine against what will be a strong Brazil line-up.

While this squad was being announced, the current group, who are in the middle of qualification for World Cup 2014, have been subject to an attack by a group of Peru fans in Lima.

Argentina are playing Peru on Tuesday, and as they were coming away from the stadium after completing training, coaching staff and players were pelted with stones.

Reports suggest that nobody was hurt, but some glass was broken.
