Jonathan Day returns with three selections from Sunday which can be combined into a treble offering 9/2, including backing both teams to score when Liverpool host Arsenal
|Kick off: Sunday 2nd Sept 13:30 BST|
|Tip: Both Teams to Score at 8/11 (1.73) with Bet365
Arsenal will be desperate to find the back of the net, after two successive 0-0 draws left the Gunners contemplating life after Robin van Persie.
Only Chelsea have had more attempts on goal than Arsenal (40) and the Gunners should finally break their duck against a Liverpool side who have conceded five goals in their opening two games.
Liverpool were unlucky not to come away with all three points against champions Manchester City last weekend, with the Merseyside club still getting to grips with the Catalonian brand of tika-taka football.
Sunday’s early kick-off will be the first time Brendan Rodgers will have juggled a Premier League fixture after a midweek European game and with both managers’ philosophies, goals should be found at both ends of the pitch.
|Kick-off: Sunday 2nd September 16:00BST|
|Tip: Marseille to win at 9/10 (1.90) with Bet365
Marseille have been revitalised under new manager Elle Baup and look set to improve on their 10th place finish last season, despite the sale of Cesar Azpilicueta to Chelsea and the expected departure of Stephane M’Bia.
Striker Andre-Pierre Gignac has clearly benefited from the change in manager after enduring a more than hostile relationship with former coach Didier Deschamps.
Gignac has scored two goals in three Ligue 1 appearances and scored the winner against Montpellier last weekend. L’Equipe ran with the headline ‘Gignac Dethrones the Champions’ and along with Loic Remy, Marseille have plenty of firepower to worry opponents Rennes.
The visitors are yet to keep a clean sheet this season and the lack of protection for the defence could increase with Les Rouges et Noirs potentially about to lose their star asset Yann M’Vila. Rennes will find Marseille tough to beat at the Velodrome so backing the hosts is the bet here.
|Kick off: Sunday 2nd September 19:45 BST|
|Tip: Lazio to win at 33/50 (1.66) with Bet365
Lazio kicked off their Serie A campaign with a less-than-inspiring 1-0 win away at Atalanta, but the Biancocelesti have maintained the vast majority of their squad that finished fourth last season.
New coach Vladimir Petkovic had a disappointing pre-season, but French defender Michael Ciani arrived earlier this week.
Last season Lazio only lost three games at the Stadio Olimpico and a strong home record will be key to any European aspirations the Biancocelesti hold this season.
Their opponents Palermo finished 16th last season and like Lazio boast a new head coach, former Siena boss Giuseppe Sannino.
Palermo were on the end of a comfortable 3-0 defeat at the hands of Napoli in Sicily last weekend and still have a number of injuries and suspensions to contend with.
Palermo had a woeful away record last season winning just once and despite the presence of Abel Hernandez and Fabricio Miccoli, they should slump to another defeat this weekend.
