Galatasaray pull out of Kaka race

Club president Unal Aysal believes that signing the Brazilian would be unnecessary for Fatih Terhim's team, but hinted that the Turkish champions could make further signings
Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has ruled out the possibility of signing Real Madrid misfit Kaka.

The 71-year-old had previously claimed that the Turkish champions would be more than capable of signing the former AC Milan star, who has been widely linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer.

The Brazilian has been left out of Jose Mourinho's squad for their games against Barcelona and Getafe, but it appears that he will not end up in Istanbul.

"What is Kaka going to do in this team?" Aysal explained to Milliyet.

"Do I really have much of a need for him? We will work in co-ordination with [coach] Fatih Terim to bring important players into the squad.

"If needed, new reinforcements could be made. We are looking at alternatives at left-back."

Galatasaray's next match is an Istanbul derby with Besiktas at Inonu, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45CET.
