The Dutch is unfazed by the big names in African club football he is about to face in the Caf Champions League and has expressed readiness to conquer Africa with Berekum Chelsea
The Ghana side has been paired with DR Congo champions and Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Zamalek, but coach Plyum is unfazed about his side’s chances.
“They are big names and well known on the continent, but names don’t play football any longer,” Plyum told Goal.com.
“We just have to keep our heads up and believe in ourselves. I’m up for the challenge and we’re ready for it. A lot of people thought we were going to fall when we started this campaign, but look at how far we have come and trust me we’re going far,” the Dutchman said.
Berekum Chelsea become the first Ghana side in six years to reach the money zone of the continental club flagship tournament.
