Team Great Britain to face Uruguay at London 2012 Olympics football tournament

Stuart Pearce to lead the side into the competition, having not featured since 1960 and will start their campaign on July 26 at Old Trafford against the African outfit
Team GB will face Uruguay, Senegal and the UAE in the group stages of this year's London Olympics.

The team's opening game will be against Senegal who they will play at Old Trafford on July 26, before taking on UAE three days later and then their final group game coming against the Uruguay on August 1.

Stuart Pearce will lead the side through the tournament, with a Great Britain football side taking part for the first time since 1960, having won the competition twice in 1908 and 1912.

Senegal will be making their inaugural Olympics appearance in the football entries and will likely feature Newcastle United duo  Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse.
