Borussia Dortmund chief Watzke: Lewandowski would be foolish to join Bayern Munich
There has been mounting speculation that the Poland international, who has been in fine goal-scoring form this season, could make a big-money move to the Allianz Arena

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has dismissed reports linking Robert Lewandowski with Bayern Munich, claiming that he would question the forward's intelligence if he was seriously entertaining the idea of joining the Bavarians.
Lewandowski has been in sensational goal scoring form for the reigning Bundesliga champions this season and there has been mounting speculation that he could be tempted away from the Westfalenstadion by their Bavarian rivals.
However, Watzke feels that the rumours make "zero sense" and told Sport-Bild: "If he seriously should have it in mind to go to Bayern and sit next to Arjen Robben on the bench, then I would have serious doubts about him.
"Our players tend to have some intelligence. He is smart and knows that Mario Gomez is a world class striker; to play would be very difficult."
Watzke applied the same logic when it came to discussing Marco Reus' well-documented decision to join Dortmund at the end of the season rather than Bayern.
"He deserves so much more than he would have had at Bayern," the Dortmund supremo reasoned. "He chose wisely."
Watzke also took a sly dig at Bayern fans by suggesting that Reus, as an expensive new arrival, will find it easier to settle at the Westfalenstadion than he would have done at the Allianz Arena.
"There is a difference over whether the 80,000 fans have the courage [to continue supporting a player] after the first misplaced pass - or whether they moan ..."
Dortmund currently top the Bundesliga, while Bayern sit third in the table.
