Both teams know that three points is required, with an in-form Johor Darul Ta'zim putting them both under pressure at the top of the table

However with only five matches remaining they are currently sitting three points behind Selangor and two behind Johor Darul Ta'zim, therefore they will be aware that their margin for error is slim. Team manager Marzuki Sulong told Utusan as much, commenting “There are four teams with the potential to win the league, which are us, Selangor, JDT and Pahang so the match against Selangor and JDT will be very crucial to decide our fate in the league."
Marzuki also revealed to the press that Terengganu had been given four days of rest following their last fixture, therefore they should be fully refreshed in order to take the game to Selangor. It remains to be seen as to whether he will start with the attacking duo of Moustapha Dabo and Javier Estupinan to try and test the miserly Selangor defence, however the expectation is that midfielder Mario Karlović and defender Vincent Bikana will be two of the import players selected, leaving only one space for a forward.
As for the visitors, the two week break following their morale crushing defeat at home to Johor may have been a blessing. Although the Red Giants have specialised in 1-0 results this season, against JDT they were on the wrong side of that particular scoreline, with Jorge Pereyra Díaz striking the killer blow in the 71st minute. That goal was the first Selangor conceded in five games, their first defeat in 11 matches, and their first MSL defeat at home since May 2012.
Considering all of the above, the job of head coach Mehmet Durakovic may be to pick his players up psychologically, rather than making wholesale tactical and personnel changes amongst his team. The onus will certainly be on attacking players Thamil Arasu, S. Kunalan and Nazmi Faiz to help contribute with more goals and assists to lift the creative burden on Andik Vermansyah and Paulo Rangel. The Brazilian forward in particular has no goals from open play in his last four games, and with hulking defender Vincent Bikana set to man-mark him, his teammates will need to step-up.
