Had little to do with most if not all of Southampton's on target efforts straight at him. Handled well when he was called upon.
Beaten for pace on occasion by Gallagher but strong in the tackle. Lucky to escape a booking at times as he sometimes dived in as the visitors broke and a poor header led to the winner.
Got forward to provide an outlet on the left but struggled to contain Clyne's bombarding runs forward. Faded as the match wore on.
Struggled to keep pace with Shaw on the left-hand side and didn't get forward enough to cause Southampton any problems.
Marshalled Gallagher out of the game and took up some fine positions to head clear from set-pieces. Flicked a header over the top early in the second half before spoiling a fine showing with a poor error that led to the winning goal.
J. de Guzmán
Anonymous for much of the game as he struggled in an unfamiliar role on the right-hand side. Replaced by the natural winger Dyer in the second period.
Forced to drop deeper to get involved with play in the first half. Struck a couple of weak shots from the edge of the area but was limited otherwise.
Saw an early shot parried by Boruc when he really should have done better. Wasted a number of opportunities before being replaced late on.
Showed good skill in midfield and kept the ball well. Also did a fine job of shielding the defence and was Swansea's best player on the day.
Struggled to get involved in the first half, and though he did show some trickery after the break, he was never really a threat.
Missed two great chances in the first half as he headed wide before driving an effort over the top when put clear by Hernandez.
Saved well from Hernandez within five minutes but was barely tested thereafter. Distributed well enough.
The best player on the pitch as he repeatedly forced Tiendalli backwards and whipped in some delightful crosses. Also made some fine challenges when forced into defensive action.
Got forward with regularity and put in a number of good crosses from the right. Also defended solidly to keep Davies and Routledge quiet.
Curled a free-kick over the top in the first half and was strong up against the strength of Bony. Made a number of good headers.
Picked up a booking for a rash challenge on Hernandez but was otherwise solid in defence. Beaten for pace by Bony on occasion.
Headed over the top early on but got himself on the ball plenty of times and looked to drive forward from midfield as well as carry out his defensive duties.
Looked to move forwards at all time but couldn't quite make the impact he has in previous weeks. Replaced early in the second half by Lambert.
Fired off a number of shots from the edge of the area in the first half but barely troubled Vorm. Was quiet other than that as he looked to keep Hernandez quiet.
Kept the ball with regularity as he sat in midfield and made sure Southampton's tempo remained relatively high.
Lost the ball on the edge of his own box to gift Hernandez an early chance but managed to grow into the game as it wore on. Fired over the top midway through the second half.
