Made his first league start against the league's second-highest scorers but can't knock him for his display. Unlucky with the opener and let down by Wilson for the next two. Saved Sturridge's initial shot before his goal but shouldn't be disheartened.
Unlucky to have seen the ball cannon off his back and into the net for the opening goal but could have got across quicker for the second. Found the game difficult and the goals conceded highlighted his side's unsually frail defence at home.
Exposed down the left multiple times in the first half with many of Liverpool's counterattacks falling down his flank. Didn't offer much and his link-up play with Arnautovic wasn't on show.
Looked accomplished down the right and wasn't afraid to venture forward. He wasn't at fault for any of the first three goals but was part of a defence that was left exposed after pushing high up the pitch for the fourth.
Poor play for Liverpool's second goal when he was put under pressure from Suarez and sold his keeper short with a headed pass. Gave the ball away to Sterling and, although soft, he fouled him for the penalty. Not a great day.
Another hit and miss performance from the midfielder. Had a number of chances to deliver from a corner in the first half but couldn't take advantage but then scored a marvellous second from distance to pull his side level.
Decent in possession of the ball but didn't provide his usual bright runs forward and that's probably credit to the expansiveness of the visitors and their ability to break from defence.
Not really astonishing in midfield in a game where midfielders were often by-passed in an end-to-end game. Did lose possession of the ball on a few occasions with Liverpool's midfield pressing but otherwise decent.
Filled the void left by Assaidi who was ineligible and assisted the equalising goal for Crouch, but didn't provide cover for Pieters in the first-half nor offer much on the ball in the second yet still managed two assists.
Involved in a couple of rough challenges in the first half but got back on his feet to play out the entire game. Put in a determined shift as usual and hung in the air to nearly nod home a third late on but eventually got one past Mingolet.
He cushioned his header down perfectly from Arnautovic's cross after evading Toure in defence to set-up a dramatic end to the first half. Didn't have many chances after and could have benefited from Ireland substitution earlier.
He couldn't be blamed for either of the first two goals: the first with poor marking in the box on a lone striker and the second a sublime shot from distance. But couldn't prevent Walters from scoring and was at fault, letting the ball easily slip through his grasp.
Overcame a hamstring problem and involved early on with the strike on goal that deflected off Shawcross, although his effort would have been well wide.
Stoke were largely central in their attacking threats, meaning Johnson was given a largely comfortable game and space to roam forward. But he failed to get close to Arnautovic for their first goal in what was his only real task at the back.
Backed off Adam to allow him a shot on goal and the equaliser for his side. His defence allowed Stoke a number of chances on goal but they eventually secured their first win at the ground in the Premier League.
In at the back in place of Daniel Agger but lost Crouch in the box for his first goal and that was easily preventable. Couldn't keep up with Walters turn for their third goal.
Marked his first game since early December with his 650th club appearance but slipped and lost possession of the ball for Adam's equaliser. Hit the third for his side from the spot and improved on his comeback as the game went on.
Part of a three-man midfield with the return of Gerrard to the starting line-up and had a decent game in a game that was centered around defensive errors and attacking play.
Steady performance from the young midfielder who put in a decent shift but could have done better with a shot on goal in the second half that he couldn't keep down.
Fortunate to see his wayward pass help set up the opening goal but did find a lot of space down the Stoke left. Continued his joy on the right in the second by charging down a Wilson clearance and earning the penalty.
Should have done better with a chance from Sterling with his side one up. Had a similar effort in the second that wasn't hit well enough but showed good ability on the ball around the penalty box. Later taken out for Sturridge.
Made a nuisance of himself as usual to create the first goal by putting Wilson under pressure from the header. Made space in for his second goal and will welcome the return of Sturridge who slipped him in unmarked.
