Selangor will be hosting Sarawak in the second round of the FA Cup this Tuesday, and moving onto the quarter finals will be the priority for the two coaches.
Both sides enjoyed comfortable victories against their opponents in Super League matches last time out, with Selangor overcoming Pahang at home, and Sarawak getting the better of Sime Darby FC.
Against Sarawak, Mehmet Durakovic is likely to continue using talisman Paolo Rangel upfront, supported by Juninho who has been performing well this season. Midfielders S. Kunanlan and Mohd Fitri Shazwan are expected to shoulder more responsibilities as far as attacking is concerned, while K. Gurusamy and Abdul Shukor should partner again in central midfield, where they both have been impressive this season.
Newly promoted Sarawak will be hoping for a change of fortune when they visit the Red Giants, with a majority of their star players injured, notably Joseph Kalang Tie, Muamer Salibasic and Akmal Rizal.
But at least the Sarawak's fans can find cheer in that their new import signings, notably Gabor Gyepes, Milorad Janjus and Alireza, are starting to show their quality as they adapt better to the team's playing style. If they can beat the Red Giants in the FA Cup, they will surely send a very strong signal towards their intention to be one of the contenders to win the cup.
