Made a valiant effort to keep out Sneijder's opener, but there was absolutely nothing he could have done about Milito's strike, with the Argentine also having been left with a tap-in. Kept Pescara in the game by saving from Guarin, who had been put straight through on goal, but it was all to no avail.
Struggled terribly with the movement of Inter's three-pronged attacking unit, who pulled Capuano and his partner Romagnoli all over the place.
The only Pescara defender who didn't have a nightmare. Benefited from the fact that Zanetti did not get forward down as much as usual but failed to exploit that fact by attacking more himself.
Spent most of the game on the back foot, though he did swing over a great cross for Cascione, and struggled badly to contain Nagatomo, eventually picking up a booking for hauling down the Japanese.
His positioning was poor throughout and though he was not alone in that regard, he went AWOL far too often. An evening to forget.
M. Lund Nielsen
Certainly not found wanting when it came to endeavour but the Dane struggled to impose himself on the proceedings. Indeed, the game passed him by somewhat and he was whipped off shortly after half-time.
Caused Inter all sorts of problems with his pace and direct running in the opening 45 minutes, very nearly earning himself a penalty after collapsing under a 'challenge' from Zanetti. He was booked for diving but there may have been some contact. However, he continually went to ground too easily, while his crossing was somewhat erratic.
Always looked composed on the ball, constantly looking to change the direction of the attack and bring others into play. Was unlucky to see a fine downward header palmed wide by Castellazzi at the tail end of the first half before his influence waned in the second period.
Neat and tidy on the ball, the midfielder also put himself about and made one crucial intervention when Cassano tried to set up Milito on 41 minutes. However, Colucci did let his aggression get the better of him just after the half-hour mark when he was booked for going through Sneijder.
Started very promisingly, though he should perhaps have done better with a half-volley early on. Impossible to fault his application but lacked a little composure when he found himself in dangerous areas.
A real thorn in Inter's side during the first half, breezing past Zanetti before being denied by the onrushing Castellazzi and later seeing an inswinging free kick tipped over by the Nerazzurri shot-stopper. Caprari also fired wide after smartly springing the offside trap but he ran out of steam and was subbed midway through the second half.
Didn't allow himself to be caught out by Caprari's inswinging free kick and pulled off a stunning one-handed stop from a header from Cascione. All in all, proved a more than able deputy for the injured Handanovic.
Looked far more reliable than usual, though his distribution was poor at times. Definitely a big improvement on last season's error-strewn displays.
Looked to attack at every opportunity and caused Pescara all sorts of problems down their right-hand side. Was not caught out once defensively either and actually made a couple of timely inceptions.
A solid enough Serie A debut for Inter. The former Palermo man was rarely ruffled, even if the movement of Pescara's front three did cause problems on occasion.
Burned by Caprari inside the opening five minutes and was then fortunate not to concede a penalty after throwing a leg in the direction of Weiss, who was booked for throwing himself to the floor far too easily. However, the Argentine then settled and it was his driving run that led to the opener.
Kept things nice and simple in the middle of the park, doing exactly what was asked of him, but was also willing to try to get beyond Sneijder and Cassano whenever he could.
Opened the scoring with a tap-in but he deserved to after wisely taking a gamble on Milito dragging the ball across the face of the goal. The Dutchman then created Inter's second by releasing Cassano into the area with a nicely-weighted pass. Much to the delight of Inter fans, he looked like his old self.
Repeatedly gave the ball away during the first half and was caught in possession several times. His frustration at his own failings manifested itself in a long-running argument with Weiss over the Slovak's propensity for going to ground. However, he was much improved after the break. Could have got himself on the scoresheet only to be denied by Perin in a one-on-one, but he played a key role in Coutinho's strike.
Only joined Inter earlier this week but took little time in settling in. Certainly not one of Inter's more eye-catching performers but he did prove how valuable an addition he should prove to be with a typically fiery and industrious display.
Looked lively - if a little rusty - throughout and played a key role in Inter going two up, springing the Pescara offside trap before teeing up Milito to score. An encouraging start to his Inter career with the promise of more to come.
Found himself crowded out a lot early on, but it was he who set up Sneijder for the opener, dragging the ball blindly but cleverly across the face of the goal. Moments later, Milito double Inter's advantage, finishing emphatically after Cassano had put the ball on a plate for him. Guarin wasted his wonderful through-ball during the second half and he missed a terrific chance himself, but Coutinho converted his cutback in some style.
Took over from Nielsen in midfield but was just as ineffective as the Dane.
Took over from Caprari midway through the second period but did not offer the same threat as the man he'd replaced.
Came on in place of Jonathas with just over 15 minutes to go, but did not get a sniff of goal.
Saw a couple of minutes right at the end after taking over from Gargano.
Came on in place of Cassano midway through the second half and made a big impact, setting up Milito for a great chance before then producing a sublime first-time left-footed finish from a cross from the Argentine to make it 3-0 to Inter.
Saw seven minutes of action at the end of the game, coming on in place of Milito and saw a well-struck drive saved by Perin.
