T-team looking to put things right; Negeri eager to start new winning run
After taken to the cleaners by Selangor on Tuesday, T-Team would want to make amends in front of their own fans when they entertain defending Malaysia Cup champions, Negeri Sembilan tomorrow.
The former Premier League champions, coached by Yunus Alif, however need to turn to their youngsters as they will be missing some key players for this tie. Rosdi Talib, Norfazly Alias, Zairo Anuar Zalani and their Brazillian import, Marco Tulio Lopez Silva are all major injury doubts. To make matters worse, midfielder Tengku Hasbullah Raja Hassan is out through suspension after his red card against Selangor.
Negeri meanwhile, will be travelling to the east coast buoyed by their 3-1 victory over Sarawak 3 days ago. Coach Azrai Khor, who has won back to back MSL titles with Kedah, can rely on national player S.Kunanlan to supply the ammunition for in-form national striker Shahurain Abu Samah and the ever dangerous Cameroonian forward, Jean Effa Owona.
With a win, T-Team can go within 2 points off Negeri while The Deers could finish the day as high as third if results elsewhere go their way.
