Bosko Balaban debuted with a bang by scoring the winning goal that ended Kelantan's undefeated streak, while LionsXII skipper continued his great form in their 2-1 win over PerakSelangor ended Kelantan's seven-match unbeaten streak by beating them 2-1 in a tightly contested affair at the Bukit Jalil Stadium. Safiq Rahim opened the scoring for Selangor with a powerful shot outside the box, before Bosko Balaban marked his debut with a splendid strike that doubled their lead. Kelantan fought hard to make a comeback, but nonetheless, Subramaniam's goal in the 90th minute proved to be a mere consolation.
Meanwhile, Terengganu continued their decline in form after only managing a 1-1 draw with Kedah in Kuala Terengganu. Ashaari Shamsuddin gave the home side the lead just before the break, as they went into half time the happier side. However, Kyril Muhymeen emerged as Kedah's saviour yet again after his header restored parity for the Canaries in the 74th minute, thus sealing a valuable point away from home.
Negeri Sembilan could not bounce back from their 1-3 defeat to LionsXII last week, after only managing a disappointing home draw against PKNS FC. Paulo Sergio initially gave PKNS the lead before the break, but Jean-Emmanuel Effa Owona bagged the equalizer moments later. Negeri pushed on the find the winning goal, but they had to be satisfied with a draw after yet another disheartening performance.
Elsewhere, Sabah recorded a fine 2-0 win over strugglers Kuala Lumpur at the Likas Stadium in Sabah. Rozaimi Abdul Rahman netted the Rhinos' opening goal, before Michael Baird bagged his third goal of the season with a splendid strike. Sabah could have increased their lead significantly, but nonetheless had to settle for a 2-0 scoreline against a shambolic Kuala Lumpur side.
At the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka, Felda United were thrashed 0-3 by a resolute T-Team side. Mohd Faiz Subri smashed in two goals in the 33rd minute and 74th minute, before Zairo Anuar Zalani continued to etch his name in the scoresheet by scoring his eighth goal of the season. E. Elavarasan's men looked completely out of sorts against T-Team and their decline seems imminent for now.
Meanwhile, Shahril Ishak emerged as LionsXII's hero yet again after scoring two goals that secured them a terrific away win against Perak. The skipper opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a typical forward goal, but the home side responded by equalizing right after the break, courtesy of a Michal Kubala penalty. However, Sundramoorthy's side pushed on and ultimately sealed the win with Shahril scoring his fifth goal in three matches.
Sarawak finally attained their first away win of the season, after beating Johor FC 2-1 in Pasir Gudang. Debutant Arturo Henrique initially gave Johor FC the lead in the 21st minute but the Crocs bounced back to equalize through Guy Bwele 15 minutes later. Both sides worked extremely hard to notch the winning goal, but nonetheless, Azizan Baba popped up with a majestic finish to give Robert Alberts' side a crucial away win.
