Despite scoring seven goals already this season in the AFC Cup, it's their defensive line which has caused them to suffer defeats, with five goals conceded during their first game against Yangon United, and another three goals conceded at home against VSB, however they did play with nine men for much of that game.
Their defensive line, including Khairul Fahmi and company, must keep their focus for the full 90 minutes if they wish to get a point, as Vissai Ninh Binh have already scored nine goals this season, only one shy from Erbil, who have scored 10 goals already in their past three matches. The last time these two played at Kota Bharu, Kelantan ended the game with nine men after two foolish dismissals, and surely they do not want to repeat the same mistakes again, especially playing away from home.
For VSB, having a perfect record so far in the AFC Cup will surely boost their confidence ahead of the game against Malaysian FA Cup 2013 champions Kelantan. Having defeated the same opponent at Kota Bharu 3-2, VSB will surely look for another win as the next three points will guarantee them a spot in the second round of the AFC Cup.
VSB striker Dinh Van Ta has three goals in the first three matches and he will be the main danger against Kelantan playing in front of his home fans.
VSB's league form however has not been that impressive, as they are currently in 11th spot in the league, having only collected seven points from eight matches.
