The Red Warriors take on the Crocs in their final league game of the season
Kelantan will host Sarawak in their last fixture of the league this Saturday at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu.
Although they have been confirmed as champions, Kelantan will not want to lose their last match of the season especially after seeing their record of 23 unbeaten matches broken by Felda United last Tuesday when they lost 1-0 in Malacca. Kota Bharu has been a fortress for Kelantan and the Red Warriors have not lost at home this season in any competition and they will surely want to keep that record intact.
The home players are likely to be highly motivated to end the league season with a win, especially with the MSL trophy being planned to be presented to them before kick-off. Bojan Hodak could choose to rotate some players who need rest before they meet Queens Park Rangers next week. Shahrizan Ismail is one man likely to get the nod after putting in some great performances in their last few fixtures. Nik Shahrul Azim, a right-back from the Kelantan youth set-up could also be included in the lineup to gain experience, while Norshahrul Idlan Talaha and Indraputra Mahyuddin are set to lead the line upfront.
Sarawak on the other hand, have their own reasons to win this match. The Crocs will be hoping for a win in Kota Bharu, a task which no other team has been able to achieve thus far. Currently ranked 11th, Sarawak need a win to be assured of an automatic stay in the MSL, but even if they achieve this they will have to hope that other results go in their favour. The Crocs are sure to rely on their key players, Ashri Chuchu and Vedran Murotovic to cause problems to the Kelantan backline.
A win would set Kelantan up nicely for their game against QPR in Shah Alam on 20th July, while Sarawak will have to live to fight another day.
