Didn't have much to do, and will perhaps feel a bit unlucky to have conceded a goal given how much his side dominated the match.
He hasn't been at his best all season but Maicon was full of useful offensive runs today. Can consider himself a bit unlucky not to come away with an assist as Pazzini especially squandered some of his passes.
Was rewarded with a second consecutive start today after a great display last weekend. Like Maicon, was an asset offensively although his defence was lacking on a few occasions.
A typical Lucio performance. Solid enough at the back, and went on a few rampaging runs to help his side offensively as well.
Another of Inter's players who has been criticized often this season, but he did well to both defend and use his height as an advantage on corners.
Developing a very solid relationship with Sneijder. More influential in the first half than in the second, but always looking to probe the defence and had a few solid runs as well.
A quiet game for Inter's captain, whose role is often overlooked. Always willing to do anything he can to help his team defensively and nearly headed the ball in with 10 minutes to go.
Was overeager to shoot at times but his passing was influential for Inter. Had a great cross for Zarate's winning goal and never shied away from his duties up front.
Often everywhere for Inter but sometimes guilty of forcing a situation instead of letting it develop. Produced a decent free kick and numerous great passes to Pazzini.
Out of nothing, levelled the score for Inter thanks to his shot which was deflected. Other than that, however, Obi had a rather mediocre game overall, helping defensively but lacking potency up top.
The flop of the match. Looks totally short of confidence and failed to capitalise on a number of fantastic passes, mostly from Sneijder.
Didn't deserve to be on the losing side at all. Made a number of wonderful saves, including stops from Nagatomo, Pazzini, Lucio, and Poli, that prevented this from being a rout. The man of the match.
Had a great clearance in the 36th minute from a Sneijder cross, and spent much of the match hoofing the ball out of his box. Like his team-mates, it was harsh on him to be on the losing side.
Had a few crucial headers but overall was one of the less influential players throughout the match.
Part of a back-line that fended Inter off so well, but sacrificed for a forward as the scores became level.
S. von Bergen
Along with his goalkeeper, was one of the standouts of the match. Kept Pazzini on a tight leash and put in at least two crucial slide tackles to give his side a fighting chance. Unlucky to concede the own goal with his deflection.
Gave his side a shock lead with a superb finish that left Castellazzi helpless, and led several good attacks into the Inter box.
A very mixed game from the star midfielder, who lost the ball to Alvarez in the 31st minute foolishly but also impressed at times, such as stealing the ball from Sneijder in the second half.
Far from his best as the Cesena midfield were continually overrun. Lost possession deep in Inter half carelessly on the 49th and conceded a needless free kick from which Sneijder came dangerously close to scoring.
Tried to do for his side what Guarin did for Inter, but was somewhat wasteful in his passing. Had a few silly giveaways and was booked as well. Not a great performance.
Slightly better than Pazzini, his counterpart on the other side of the pitch, but was still awfully wasteful and far too quick to shoot. His rating is saved by his effort that rattled the crossbar.
Had almost a completely invisible game. Along with Iaquinta, was quite isolated up top, but at least his partner managed to try and carve situations on his own.
- 21 P. Orlandoni
- 2 I. Córdoba
Came on with 10 minutes to go and nearly nicked a third at the end, if it wasn't for a superb Antonioli save.
- 37 D. Faraoni
Came on for Alvarez and six minutes later, headed Inter into the lead. Not much more Stramaccioni would've wanted from his substitute!
Replaced Pazzini and immediately looked far more dangerous than his Italian counterpart. Failed to score but was influential in helping his side get their second.
- 9 D. Forlán
- 88 N. Ravaglia
- 13 M. Rossi
Came on with 30 minutes to go but failed to change the outcome of the game.
- 24 T. Arrigoni
Was put on with 5 minutes of game-time left.
The most notable of the substitutes, but only for a nasty clash with Ranocchia late on.
