• Signal-Iduna-Park, Dortmund
Referee: K. Kircher
• Attendance: 80000
R. Lewandowski 51'
M. Reus 77'
I. Olić 34'
That's all we have time for in Signal Iduna Park, which in the end did celebrate it's 40th birthday in style, as Dortmund earned three Bundesliga points with a 2-1 comeback against Champions League hopefuls Wolfsburg. I've been Simon Harrison, and I hope to see you again next time.
That point sees Dortmund close in on securing Champions League football next season, while Wolfsburg remain in sixth place. Hecking knows that his side could have been 3-0 up by half-time, making a defeat a particularly bitter and sizeable pill to swallow.
FULL TIME! Dortmund turn things around in the second half, with goals from Lewandowski and Reus capitalising on goalkeeping errors from Grun. The Wolfsburg keeper protests to the referee that he was fouled in the build up to Dortmund's second goal after the final whistle, but those complaints will fall on deaf ears.
90' + 2'
Lewandowski goes on a bullish run into the penalty area, but the ball escapes him, allowing for Grun to sheepishly claim. Dortmund look to have turned this game around.
PISZCZEK! The right-back rises well to meet the corner delivery, but his header is straight at Max Grun, who claims with ease! That could be the last chance of the game. We have two minutes of stoppage time.
GROSSKREUTZ! REUS! The utility man makes his way up the left hand side, before clipping a cross to the back post. It ends up at the feet of Reus, who cuts inside, but his eventual shot is blocked.
PERISIC! The former Dortmund man tries his luck from a tight angle, after a quiet second half, but fires way wide. Wolfsburg are beginning to run out of ideas, with the hosts looking to have turned this game around. Sokratis makes a great sliding challenge to dispossess Olic.
Caligiuri rises well at the back post, meeting a Rodriguez cross, but he can't keep his header down! Good leap, but the ball in was perhaps a little too high for the substitute.
DE BRUYNE! Still looking for his first goal in Wolfsburg colours, the Belgian tries his luck from the long-range free-kick, but grazes the crossbar with a dipping drive! He wasn't too far away, but Langerak probably had his angles covered if it was on target. The same man has another chance, fed by Caligiuri, but the Dortmund keeper smothers the through ball.
Important clearance from Hummels! The Dortmund central defender is on hand to divert a Perisic cross away from goal, before the referee pulls back play for an earlier foul - much to the annoyance of Sokratis.
Less than ten minutes on the clock and Wolfsburg have a lot to do if they are to maintain their chase for fourth spot. As it stands, Hecking's men remain in sixth place, but they'll feel as though they've let an opportunity slip through their fingers after an excellent first half performance.
Bernard Malanda Adje
Well, this game has been turned on its head! Poor goalkeeping has arguably been at fault for both Dortmund goals, as the keeper missed his punch for the first goal and gifted Reus the ball for the second. The supporters behind the Wolfsburg net are jubilant!
Goal Marco Reus
GOOOOOOOOOAL! REUS SCRAMBLES THE BALL HOME TO MAKE IT 2-1! An easy cross is fumbled by Grun, who lands on Knoche, allowing for the Germany international to tuck the ball into an unguarded net!
Rodriguez is again on hand at the back post, controlling a Reus cross before pivoting and driving out of his own penalty area under limited pressure. Finally, after a terrible afternoon, Mkhitaryan is withdrawn for Kirch.
REUS! Lewandowski lifts an excellent ball into the path of Reus, who takes a glorious first touch, before Rodriguez muscles the Germany international. Grun picks up the pieces.
LUIZ GUSTAVO! The defensive midfielder strikes a left-footed effort towards the far post from 30 yards, but he gets it all wrong. Langerak is content to let the ball skid off the turf and six yards wide.
Dortmund are dominating possession, with Hecking's men presumably happy to take a point at this point. Three points would see Wolfsburg rise into fourth place unchallenged, with a point enough to equal Gladbach and Leverkusen's points tallies.
MKHITARYAN! Twenty minutes remaining and Dortmund look like they're the team who will take the lead. The hosts break and it's four versus two, but the former Shakhtar man can only curl an effort narrowly wide of the far post from 18 yards. Klopp is distraught.
Lewandowski treads on the top of Trasch's boot, with the right-back hobbling off the field gingerly, not putting any weight on his one leg. He looks to have received a considerable knock from what was a terrible challenge from the Dortmund striker. Trasch makes his way straight down the tunnel.
JOJIC! The Serbian cuts in from the right hand side, but can only arrow a left-footed strike comfortably into the midriff of Grun. The substitutes have definitely turned this game on its head, Wolfsburg don't look assured whatsoever.
OLIC! Another half chance for Olic, as the two Croatians link up once again. The ex-Dortmund winger delivers a good cross, but attention from Hummels forces the Wolfsburg goalscorer into skewing his shot wide of the near post.
Good ball from Mkhitaryan! The Armenian international races down the right before cutting the ball back from the byeline, but Trasch has the time and composure to take a touch before clearing his lines.
A few errors are just creeping back into Dortmund's game, it seems that when Klopp's players have too long on the ball, they overthink their decisions and end up playing silly passes.
Dortmund are on top as we approach the hour mark, with Olic seeing absolutely nothing of the ball. Mkhitaryan is continuing to have a frustrating afternoon, giving the ball away before Wolfsburg break. Perisic is released on the far side, he gives Piszczek the slip before sliding a pass across the six yard box which nobody is able to turn home.
OFFSIDE! Grosskreutz manages to thread Mkhitaryan through on goal, with the utility man convinced that his teammate wasn't offside. The Armenian attacking midfielder had just started his run a little bit too early, despite Die Schwarzgelben's protests.
Wolfsburg are looking shaky, with Dortmund in total control now. The first half seems a long time ago, with Klopp's changes and half-time words presumably having some effect on proceedings. But for Lewandowski's touch, the hosts might be level.
Yellow Card Miloš Jojić
Nice disguised pass from Lewandowski! The Poland international shaped to shoot, before instead sliding a pass through to Reus. The German forward tried to race onto the through ball, but he couldn't quite stretch enough to reach it. Dortmund are in the ascendancy!
LEWANDOWSKI! The Bayern-bound striker is fed the ball on the left hand side, in plenty of space, but his first touch escapes him! It robs him of the chance to fire a snapshot across goal from a tight angle.
Klopp's changes have definitely freshened things up, with a new found confidence echoing around the stadium! The Yellow Wall are back in good voice, with the energy added by Jojic and Durm playing a part in the build up to the goal.
Assist Marco Reus
Goal Robert Lewandowski
GOOOOOAL! LEWANDOWSKI FLICKS ON THE NEAR POST CORNER DELIVERY! It comes off his back, with Grun missing his punch, and deflects inside the back post! It's all level again!
Great work from Durm! The young left-back presses on down the wing, beating Trasch before whipping in a near post cross. Lewandowski looks to bring it down, but can't! It deflects behind for another corner, however.
Good clearance from De Bruyne! The young Belgian hoofs a dangerous cross away from the penalty spot, after good work down the right from Jojic. Lewandowski was lurking, but the Polish striker has been thwarted again.
Reus whips in a free-kick, but it's easy for Grun to claim. There has been confirmation that neither Sahin nor Aubameyang were injured at the break, meaning that Klopp's intentions are either to rest his best players or to make positive changes.
Klopp perhaps has the game against Real Madrid on his mind, causing the changes at the break, but Dortmund also need a shake up to get going. Grosskreutz can afford to get further forward now that Durm is on the field, while Jojic has been a source of goals as substitute.
We are back underway for the second half! Dortmund need to overturn a one-goal deficit if they're to taste victory in the week of Signal Iduna Park's 40th birthday, but it's pragmatic to assume that the celebrations are on hold for the time being. Durm and Jojic take to the field in place of Aubameyang and Sahin.
Be sure to rejoin us for all of the action in ten minutes time, with Wolfsburg currently on course to make it five games without defeat and to move into the final Champions League place. A weary Dortmund have a lot to do in order to turn this game around.
Dortmund have had a couple of half chances, both coming through Reus, but Langerak has been much the busier goalkeeper. Olic may have opened the scoring, but to strike the bar twice from six yards out in the space of two seconds takes some doing.
HALF TIME! The referee calls time on a first half which sees Wolfsburg guarding a slender 1-0 lead, courtesy of Olic. The Croatian striker could easily have hat-trick, after spurning a couple of great opportunities, but as it stands, Klopp's men can still get back in it.
Kehl almost meets a Dortmund corner delivery, but Naldo makes the clearance. The second set piece floated in is met by the Dortmund captain, but again a visiting head is on hand to divert it away. A bit of sustained pressure for the hosts, which is encouraging.
Good challenge from Gustavo! The defensive midfielder tracks back well, robbing Reus of the ball as he looked to let fly on his weaker foot from 20 yards out! A committed showing from Wolfsburg thus far, but Olic should have a hat-trick by now.
HOW HAS THAT NOT GONE IN! THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS! De Bruyne gets to the byeline, before Olic scrambles an effort onto the bar, before it rebounding back down to the same man, who hits the bar again from five yards out! Piszczek was pressurising him, but how did that avoid the back of the net?
Good work from Perisic once again, endeavouring to get to the byeline down the left flank. Piszczek matches him all of the way, however, with the ex-Dortmund wide man eventually running the ball out of play. Just over five minutes until the break and Wolfsburg's lead doesn't look in danger just yet.
Yellow Card Nuri Sahin
Brilliant run from Reus! The diminutive forward races forward yet again after receiving the ball on his chest, weaving his way around Grun in the process. His third touch is heavy, however, robbing the German of the chance to squeeze the ball home from a tight angle.
REUS! The Germany international has the beating of Trasch once again, who could become the first man substituted this evening. He bypasses his man before firing a low drive across goal but narrowly wide of the far post!
Goal Ivica Olic
GOOOOOOAL! OLIC TAPS IN TO MAKE IT 1-0 TO WOLFSBURG! It's a good header initially from Malanda Adje, which is saved by Langerak but the Australian can only parry the Belgian's effort into the path of the goalscorer. Olic makes no mistake, firing home powerfully!
Yellow Card Christian Träsch
A poor challenge from Trasch earns the right-back the first yellow card of the evening, as he caught Lewandowski with his studs raised. He's not had the best of games thus far, Reus has had the beating of the German defender regularly.
Lewandowski tracks back well to rob Perisic of the ball, but is quickly dispossessed. Neither striker have been given enough space, despite both being able to handle themselves physically. An even game, as we edge into the final 15 minutes of the first half.
The home fans are trying to get their cries heard, urging their team on. Dortmund haven't looked too bad in the opening half an hour, with Hummels and Sokratis able to deal with the majority of threats presented by Olic. The hosts' penalty area has seen more action, mind.
Olic tries to break through the centre of the defence, despite having Perisic racing up in his support on the left hand side. Attempting to go it alone, the lone striker is brought down fairly by Sokratis, before Hummels cleans up the scraps and returns the ball to Langerak.
NALDO! The physical Brazilian looks to keep his scoring run going, meeting a corner delivery at the near post, but can only loop an effort onto the roof of the net. That wasn't too far away.
GOOD SAVE! Hummels makes a good sliding block to prevent a Perisic cross from reaching its intended target, but the deflected, looping ball instead tries to find its home in the back of the net! Langerak leaps athletically to his right to palm it away for a corner.
DE BRUYNE! The former Chelsea midfielder is picked out in space at the back post, but can only slice an effort horribly wide of the far post. He slaps his hands in frustration, he knows he should have done better with that.
Unimpressive corner delivery from Sahin, allowing for Wolfsburg to clear their lines, before Olic is found with a direct pass. The 34-year-old tries to penetrate the Dortmund area, but is stopped in his tracks. End-to-end but low on quality so far, with only Perisic looking to possess a few tricks up his sleeve.
Lewandowski finally receives a long ball to feet, but his touch is poor, which is rare! Aubameyang breaks down the right hand side, before crossing towards the back post, but a combination of Trasch and Grun can only turn the ball behind for a corner.
Reus is nearly fed through on goal by a smart pass from Lewandowski, but Grun is quick off his line to smother the loose ball. That's been one of the best chances that Dortmund have been able to muster thus far. Perisic breaks past Grosskreutz with some lovely trickery, before Langerak is able to turn the Croatian's cross away from the six yard box.
Sahin tries a long ball forward in search of Lewandowski, but the Polish international is beaten in the air, before Perisic hooks the rebound away. Mkhitaryan and Lewandowski are fast becoming forgotten men at the head of Dortmund's attack.
It's now Sahin's turn to go down, as Perisic accidentally clashes heads with his former teammate. That looked a nasty one, but the former Real Madrid man is quickly back to his feet and looking to play on.
INTO THE WALL! Somebody will be winded after that block! The Brazilian cannons a free-kick straight into the line of awaiting Dortmund players, before Malanda Adje can't do anything with the rebound. Langerak is happy to watch the Belgian's tame effort thud into the advertising hoardings.
Poor challenge from Sokratis! The Greek defender ploughs through the back of Arnold, causing an angry reaction from Hecking. That was a needless offence, with Wolfsburg now having a chance to shoot from range. It's around 30 yards from goal, definitely Naldo's range!
Klopp won't be entirely pleased with his how his team have started this game, but Langerak remains untested in the Dortmund net. Wolfsburg are having the more creative possession and are looking fairly comfortable - Lewandowski has been anonymous.
It's been end-to-end thus far, with neither side able to look defensively solid. Dortmund have looked particularly leaky this season, and against pacey options such as Arnold and even Olic, they can't afford to gift away an early goal.
PERISIC! OLIC! Hummels gives away a needless pass in the centre of midfield, before Gustavo sweeps the ball out of the right hand side in search of the former Dortmund winger. The Croatian drives into the box before sidestepping past Hummels, but his eventual cross is deflected over the crossbar by Olic!
Good defending from Luiz Gustavo, who slides in excellently to deflect a Reus strike into the reach of Grun. Dortmund win the corner, but Wolfsburg are able to clear their lines. All of the chances are opening up as a result of poor passing in needless areas.
Some poor passing from Dortmund in the opening minutes, with stray balls aplenty when the hosts look towards the final third. Lewandowski has barely touched the ball yet, which isn't how Die Schwarzgelben are going to get a result this evening.
Despite their many injuries, Dortmund start well, before Reus gives away a needless pass. Arnold picks up possession in the centre of the park before driving towards goal, but Piszczek does just enough to put off the youngster as he approached the 18-yard line. The loose ball rolls through to Langerak.
Aubameyang goes down clutching his ankle early on, due to a late challenge from Luiz Gustavo, who can't help but pick up yellow cards. The atmosphere is fantastic, with both sets of supporters knowing what three points could do for their respective campaigns.
A fearless start from the away side, who are keen to press and harry very high up the field. Wolfsburg are in fine form and really don't have to feel intimidated by anybody in the Bundesliga, they're unbeaten in four matches too. That said, Bayern's unbeaten run of over 50 games was ended today - and by worse opposition than Dortmund.
We are underway in the first half at Signal Iduna Park! This game could have big implications at the top of the Bundesliga, as Dortmund are being chased by third-placed Schalke, while Wolfsburg could end a point ahead in the race for the final Champions League qualification spot.
Wolfsburg substitutes: Ochs, Schafer, Caligiuri, Drewes, Felipe Lopes, Polak, Kutschke.
Wolfsburg starting line-up: Grun; Trasch, Naldo, Knoche, Rodriguez; Luiz Gustavo, Malanda Adje; De Bruyne, Arnold, Perisic; Olic.
Dortmund substitutes: Friedrich, Hofmann, Jojic, Kirch, Schieber, Alomerovic, Durm.
Dortmund starting line-up: Langerak; Piszczek, Sokratis, Hummels, Grosskreutz; Kehl, Sahin; Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan, Reus; Lewandowski.
TEAM NEWS: Ivica Olic leads the line, with ex-Dortmund left winger Perisic also included for the away side. Naldo starts at the centre of defence as always, with Langerak presumably aware of what the Brazilian defender can audaciously do from range. A strong line-up from Wolfsburg, who can go within touching distance of Europe with a win - it would see Hecking's men into fourth place.
TEAM NEWS: A few changes for the home side, as Roman Weidenfeller is left out through injury, leaving young Australian Mitchell Langerak in between the posts. Kevin Grosskreutz starts at left-back instead of Erik Durm, who didn't have the best of evenings against Gareth Bale earlier in the week. Aubameyang is restored to the right hand side of midfield, allowing for Robert Lewandowski to slot back into his place at the head of the attack.
I'm Simon Harrison, and I am the man charged with keeping you fully informed with all of the action from Signal Iduna Park, which has recently celebrated its 40th birthday. Jurgen Klopp's men will be hoping to forget their thrashing in Madrid from earlier this week, by kicking on with three domestic points here today.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Bundesliga's late kick-off, as Borussia Dortmund host Wolfsburg, with the hosts looking to cement their place in second, while the Wolves hunt for Europe. With plenty of upsets already occuring in the German top flight this afternoon, most notably Bayern losing to Augsburg, anything could happen in this evening's match!
