Before their clash in the FA Cup semi-finals, both teams will lock horns in their Super League fixture first as JDT host Pahang in Johor Bahru.
The Southern Tigers are currently in good form after two away wins in their last two matches; a 1-0 win at Terengganu followed by a comeback win to beat Selangor 2-1 at the Shah Alam Stadium. They will be eager to continue that winning run at home against Pahang and overtake Selangor and LionsXII at the top of the table.
JDT will rely on their new import player, Leonel Nunez, who scored a brace again Selangor in their last game. Fandi Ahmad can also play Safee Sali and Norshahrul, so he may decide to switch back to his preferred 4-3-3 formation which he has favoured on many occasions this season.
Pahang, on the other hand, have rediscovered their early season form once again after recording three straight wins in all competitions.
Dollah Salleh will look to put faith in his two star players Azamuddin Akil and Fauzi Roslan to once again lead the front line for the Elephants. R Gopinathan, currently in a rich vein of form, will be crucial to helping the visitors whenever they are going forward.
