Hosts, Perak started the match brightly with their top goalscorer, Michal Kubala taking control of the midfield early on. His exquisite range of passing was clearly the difference between the two sides as the visiting Felda United were forced into submission in the first few minutes of the game.

Perak created the first clear chance of the game in the 15th minute as former Cameroonian international, Albert Bodjongo forced his way into the penalty box before passing expertly to the unmarked Shafiq Jamal who failed to shoot into the unguarded goal,a bad miss by the 23 year old striker.

Felda United responded with a swift counter attack of their own as Perak were caught off-guard. Winger, Mohd Raimi showed fantastic first touch as he controlled the ball in mid air before shooting wide.

The match however was stopped in the 23rd minute due to the failure of the stadium lights.

As soon as the match resumed, the visitors took the lead as Frenchman, Mickael Courier turned his marker inside out before drilling a shot past the hapless Khairul Affendi. The home support was silenced as Courier celebrated his goal.

In a state of shock, Perak tried to respond with quick attacks. However, they were piled with more misery as young defender, Nasir Fasiron headed into his own net from a swerving free kick taken by Mohd Raimi.

Former national striker, Ahmad Fakri  scored the third goal from a corner kick. He rose highest to head past Khairul Affendi. The home crowd were left dumbfounded as Ahmad Fakri celebrated his goal buoyantly.

Minutes later, Bodjongo was fouled by Felda skipper, Abdul Ghani in the penalty box. Hungarian playmaker, Kubala stepped up confidently to take the spot kick. However, his effort was denied by the post. Kubala who has a 90% penalty conversion this season was left dismayed. The first half ended with Felda United taking a suprise three goal lead.

The second half began with Perak bringing on former national striker, Akmal Rizal. His presence and experience made much difference as Bodjongo was no longer isolated up-front. Moments later, a corner kick by Perak skipper, Mohd Shahrulnizam was controlled by winger Nazri Kamal who shot into the bottom corner of the net in the 63rd minute. The home crowd finally had someting to smile about.

However, any hopes that Perak harbored to make a comeback were dashed by a delightful free kick taken by Mohd Raimi. Young custodian, Khairul Affendi could only watch on as the ball swerved into his net.

There was more drama to come with Michal Kubala's long range free kick denied by the crossbar before Nazri Kamal yet again was quick to pounce on the loose ball to score his second goal of the game.

Perak coach, Jang Jung will have his work cut out for him due to this heavy home defeat and the upcoming visit to last year's finalists Negri Sembilan coming up. His counterpart, E. Elavarasan on the other hand will surely be elated with this suprise win.
