  David Stockdale Flop of the Match

  At fault for each of Swansea's goals. The first he half-palmed-half-scooped the ball into the path of Graham, and for the second he gifted possession to Hernandez. Created numerous nervy moments and almost dropped the ball into the path of Graham in the final embers.

  Brede Hangeland

  Enjoyed the physical battle instigated by Graham, but was troubled by the pace and movement of Swansea's speed merchants on the break. Lumped too many long balls in the direction of Berbatov. Caught out by Stockdale's heavy pass for Swansea's second goal.

  Overlapped from deep to good effect, but lacked an end product and showed naivety with his passing and decision making. Defended well though, and was never overly troubled by Dyer.

  Was often exposed positionally, consistently allowing Graham to run in behind. Allowed too much space to develop between himself and Riether. Didn't use the ball well either.

  Quiet offensively in the first half, but much busier in the second half, raiding forward from deep and firing in crosses. Rarely, if ever, beaten by Hernandez. Linked well with Dejagah as Fulham pressed for an equaliser. Such a threat that he was pushed forward as Fulham sought an equaliser.

  Busy and tenacious in midfield, but brought minimal forward impetus, electing to pass backwards or sideways too often. Struck several wayward shots when team-mates were better placed. Worked hard but lacked quality.

  Off the pace, typified by his incredibly late tackle on Tiendalli which produced a yellow card. More progressive than Sidwell with his passing, but still laboured on and off the ball.

  Kerim Frei

  Embarked on several direct, tricky runs, though didn't commit Rangel often enough. Almost levelled the scores, but his effort curled away from the far post. Struck a good half-volley that almost snuck in. Electric in patches. Bemusingly replaced by Senderos.

  Ashkan Dejagah

  Linked well with Riether down the right flank, affording Swansea few chances, but his end product was wasteful and wayward. Got in behind the defence several times in the second half, but couldn't find a telling delivery. Replaced by Rodallega.

  Largely fed off scraps, forced to contest aerial balls with Monk and Williams and denied service on the deck. Finally got the better of the pair to smash a header against the bar, with Ruiz scoring from the rebound.

  Bryan Ruiz Top of the Match

  Fulham's best player and had a personal duel with Tremmel. Effortlessly classy when dropping into space between the lines, though was forced too deep to receive the ball. Struck a curling effort towards the far post that was well saved by Tremmel and went close with a free-kick from the edge of the box before tapping in from close range.

  Gerhard Tremmel

  Was in fine form and was forced to make a string of saves to keep Fulham at bay. Produced a good stop to push away Ruiz's curling effort, though was helpless for his goal. Often elected to punch on set-pieces, usually to good effect. Kicking was often poor, especially compared to Vorm.

  Solid and reliable as ever. Matched the lazy power of Berbatov, never shrugged off by the big Bulgarian. Won numerous aerial challenges against him, and was composed on the ball.

  Relished the physical tussle with Berbatov, stepping up to power headers clear. Beaten in the air when the Bulgarian thumped a header against the bar. Less comfortable on the deck or when forced to track the elusive Ruiz.

  Dwight Tiendalli

  The return of Rangel saw Tiendalli shifted to the opposite flank, and he adapted well initially though struggled in the second half as Riether and Dejagah flooded forward. He was worried to such an extent that Laudrup brought on Davies to play at left-back instead.

  Ángel Rangel

  Returned to the side after injury and showed his usual forward drive and precision passing. Burst down the flank and crossed into the box for Swansea's opener. Worried by the pace of Briggs on the overlap and the trickiness of Frei, but dealt with them well.

  Looked dangerous on the break. Gobbled up Stockdale's over-hit pass before squaring for De Guzman, who doubled Swansea's lead. Was otherwise kept under wraps by Riether.

  Much of his best work came off the ball, closing down players, pressing and harrying. Shot low and hard, forcing Stockdale to palm the ball to Graham for the opening goal, but had little influence from open play otherwise.

  Played through the middle in the absence of Michu but struggled to impact himself in the midst of a crowded midfield. Often sought the familiarity of the wing. Quiet, peripheral and ineffective, he was replaced at half-time.

  Controlled the midfield for Swansea, always showing for the ball and providing options for his team-mates. Moved into the hole in the second half and grabbed what proved to be the winner, calmly placing the ball beyond the reach of Stockdale.

  Combative and robust. Brought energy and tempo to the Swansea midfield that can be absent when Britton is playing. Having spent a huge amount of energy, he was replaced by Britton towards the end of the match.

  Replaced Routledge for the second half. Sat deeper. Was busy, hustling and harassing the opposition. Largely bypassed as Fulham laid siege to the Swansea box. Did a good job of hunting down loose passes and cleaning up.
