Malaysian Super League Preview: Negeri Sembilan vs LionsXII
Lions hope to repeat performance and keep up the pace with league leaders Kelantan as they travel to face a depleted Negeri Sembilan side

The Lions travel to face Negeri Sembilan knowing that a win would put them top till Saturday.
In the return fixture, goals form captain Shahril Ishak and Shahdan Sulaiman sealed a memorable 3-1 victory for the Lions and they will be hoping for a repeat performance.
Coach Sundramoorthy's team bounced back from their demoralising FA Cup defeat in the best possible way beating a resolute T-Team 2-1 on Saturday and will be looking to build on that result.
Vice-captain Hariss Harun returns from his two match suspension but the fitness of forward Sufian Anuar remains a concern although he travelled with the team. Coach Sundram will have been pleased that forward Agu Casmir played 70 minutes against T-Team after recovering from injury.
The Lions squad has been depleted due to injuries and can ill-afford losing more players to the injury table.
Negeri Sembilan, who lie fifth in the league with 18 points, have rediscovered their form after a slow start to the season but will be missing key players for this tie.
Star striker Jean-Emmanuel Effa Owona misses out due to his sending off for violent conduct while midfielder S. Kunanlan misses out due to injury. Owona has struck up an impressive partnership with Ahmad Shakir Ali this season and his presence would be sorely missed.
In their absence, the onus would fall upon the shoulders of Shahurain Abu Samah and Shakir Ali to cause the damage.
Interestingly, Negeri Sembilan remain unbeaten at home while the LionsXII have not lost on their travels. The hosts will be hoping to get revenge for the earlier result but would have to be at their best to keep out the resurgent Lions.
