Last season’s treble winners Kelantan have not had the best of starts to the season and will hope to secure only their second win of the campaign against Felda United at the MBPJ Stadium this evening.

The Red Warriors will be without injured Guinean forward Keita Mandjou for this game. The misfiring striker has been ruled out with a rib injury sustained against Johor Darul Takzim on Tuesday.

Home team Felda have not reported any injuries leading up to the game and are expected to be at full strength to take on the visiting east coast side.

Ex-Kelantan stiker Muhammad Ghaddar signed for Felda during the off-season and will be eager to do well against his former paymasters. Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak however, has said in the build-up that there would be no special treatment reserved for the Lebanese striker.

On the other hand, Felda coach K.Devan will be turning to experienced players like Rudie Ramli and Malaysian international Amar Rohidan to help the Settlers get one over Hodak’s men. The Klang Valley-based club can also count on captain Kaironnisam Sahabudin Hussain and goalkeeper Helmi Eliza Elias – both have a total of 72 caps combined between them for the Malaysian national team.

The match is slated for a 4.45pm kick-off.

  DID YOU KNOW?
  • Muhammad Ghaddar scored 21 goals for Kelantan last season.
  • The Lebanese’s stoppage time goal in last season’s Malaysia Cup second leg quarter-final match knocked his current team out of the competition.
  • The Red Warriors will be looking for their first win in three matches.

  • Felda United won the corresponding fixture 1-0 last season.
  • The win was only their second in 12 meetings with the east coast side.
  • However, the goalscorer that day, Mickael Antoine-Curier, is no longer with the club.
