That's it from Berlin, Germany's heroes are on their way home at last. Thanks for staying with us during the celebrations.
Only four more years and there will be another party somewhere in the world to celebrate World Cup success!
The stage is empty, Germany's heroes are on their way home. But the party at the Brandenburger Tor is by no means over just yet!
Before he leaves, Muller thanks the fans once again!
The party slowly seems to be getting to an end as the players and coaches are departing the stage one by one. Looks like their well-deserved holiday is about to start after an intense summer of football!
The entire team, players and coaches, gather around each other once more and thank the supporters for their support during the tournament, holding up a banner with the words "Obrigado Fans".
German singer Helene Fischer starts her song "Atemlos durch die Nacht" and the world champions are making their presence known as well as they show they're capable of so much more than just kicking a ball, even though the majority of the players would be wise not to pursue a singing career...
There's plenty of singing and dancing going on at the stadium. Muller is one of the players who really seems to be in the mood to go wild!
Hummels might have enjoyed winning the World Cup, but the one thing he'll be enjoying even more is celebrating that win: "Now it's time for the thing we all like most, partying!"
And there he is, captain Lahm!
The final group of players is ready to come on and join their team-mates. But where is Lahm? Has the captain gone missing...
Draxler is certainly not shy in front of a big crowd and starts a song to mock Grosskreutz following the infamous kebab-incident before the World Cup and the fans are happily joining in! The Dortmund man seems unaffected, though.
And the third batch of players comes on to receive a warm welcome. Neuer, Schweinsteiger, Draxler, Ginter, Howedes and Grosskreutz taking in the atmosphere
Kroos starts a Klose-song together with the fans and the all-time World Cup top scorer is visibly touched by the gesture. What a career he has had with the national team!
Weidenfeller, Mustafi, Schurrle, Kroos, Klose and matchwinner Gotze are next up.
Mertesacker, Ozil, Khedira, Podolski, Boateng and Zieler sure get the crowd going! "I can't hear youuuu," screams Boateng, before chanting that he's proud to be a Berliner!
Mertesacker leads his team-mates the way. He might have lost his starting berth over the course of the tournament, but the Arsenal man is surely enjoying himself here!
Coaches Flick, Kopke, Bierhoff and Low are the first to make their way on to the podium and are greeted by a huge applause and cheers.
Schweinsteiger briefly speaks to ARD before celebrations really kick off at the fan fest and admits that a number of players didn't get much sleep since the win over Argentina: "It will probably only sink in after a week or so that we are the world champions. It really is incredible how the people have welcomed us. I got a bit of sleep because everything hurt, but there's a few guys who didn't see much of their bed..."
The players and coaches are having a quick bite before they get onto the podium, sausages for the World Cup winners it is!
