Yannick Bolasie back in training with Everton U23 side

Yannick Bolasie is back in training with Everton U23 side, according to caretaker manager David Unsworth.

The DR Congo international has been sidelined for the past 11 months after rupturing his cruciate knee ligament. But after two successful surgeries, the winger looks set for a return to action.

The Blues’ handler has confirmed that the former Crystal Palace ace has begun training with the U23s as he continues his rehabilitation process at the club’s Finch Farm training ground.

“Yannick has had a couple of sessions with the U23," Unsworth hinted in Friday’s pre-match press conference.

Everton have had a stuttering start to the 2017-18 season, with their dramatic 3-2 win over Watford prior to the international break lifting them out of the relegation zone and they will hope to continue with a positive result against Crystal Palace in Saturday's English Premier League game.

Bolasie who has played just 15 games for Everton since his £25.9 million move from Selhurst Park in the summer of 2016 will be itching to make a return and help his side turn around their performances.
