Torino confirmed that Joel Obi and Afriyie Acquah suffered muscular injury at the left thigh biceps in their Serie A fixture against Benevento.
The 26-year-old was replaced by Ghana’s Acquah 10 minutes into the encounter at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito which ended 1-0, in favour of Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men.
And the Serie A outfit confirmed that the Super Eagles midfielder will be sidelined for the next 10-15 days and could miss games against Sampdoria, Udinese and Juventus.
The club disclosed that Acquah who was replaced in the 57th minute in that same fixture, suffered a minor nature of the injury at the same region but he is subject to undergo a daily medical test for clinical progress.
“Examinations showed Joel Obi has a muscular lesion at the left thigh biceps,” the statement reads on club’s website.
