Democratic Republic of Congo duo Marcel Tisserand and Wilson Kamavuaka squared off against each other in a thrilling relegation battle in the Bundesliga on Sunday as Ingolstadt soared back from two goals down to prevail 3-2 victors against relegation rivals Darmstadt.
Congolese defender Tisserand and midfielder Kamavuaka started on opposite ends as the two sides contested the relegation six-pointer played at Audi-Sportpark.
Pascal Gross finished off a well-worked counter to put the hosts ahead in the 20th minute, but two quick goals by Mario Vrancic saw Darmstadt in cruise control heading to the interval.

Ingolstadt took the field from the break with optimism, and their efforts were rewarded in the 68th minute when Almog Cohen grabbed the equalizer before Markus Suttner sealed the game for Die Schanzer with a direct free kick minutes later and earn them their third consecutive win.
Tisserand was making his 23rd appearance as he helped to lift his side to within a point of Augsburg and Mainz, whilst Kamavuaka - a recent capture from Panaitolikos - lost his third consecutive match with Die Lilien.
Cameron defender Marvin Matip also lined up alongside Tisserand in the heart of Ingolstadt’s defence.
