Real act of a sportsmanship! Fans praise Gor Mahia coach after KPL snub

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has won the hearts of his Twitter followers with a simple congratulatory message to Nakumatt assistant coach Anthony Mwangi.

Mwangi beat Sofapaka coach John Baraza to scoop the monthly gong barely a month after he was demoted from the position of head coach.

While the award, which is given out by Sports Journalist Association of Kenya raised a lot of debate after Kerr once again missed on the top podium, the Englishman, still undefeated this season, took to social media to congratulate the winner.

But the act did not go unnoticed with some of Gor Mahia fans praising the tactician for his sportsmanship gesture.

Mwangi’s fete saw Nakumatt became the first team to scoop both player and coach’s gong in a single month. This is after the club forward Boniface Mukhekhe was crowned last week.

The 33-year-old Mwangi was in charge of Nakumatt’s technical bench when they recorded three victories and a draw to claim the most number of league points in May.
