Ulinzi Stars are meeting AFC Leopards on Wednesday

Ulinzi Stars made just one signing in January and have lost their top marksman Mark Makwatta.

The Soldiers started their Kenyan Premier League campaign last weekend, downing Kariobangi Sharks by a solitary goal and head coach Benjamin Nyangweso says they are strong and capable of doing better this season.

"Yes, many people expected us to make massive changes this season, but there was no need of doing that. These are talented and experienced players who have what it takes to shine. It is a strong squad and the more it remains compact, the more it will be solid.

"We are looking forward to a better season as compared to the last one, and our main aim is to win silverware this season," he told Goal.

Ulinzi Stars will play against AFC Leopards on Wednesday afternoon at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
