CAF Confederation Cup Preview: Wolayta Dicha vs Yanga

Following their first leg 2-0 home victory, Yanga will be away for the second leg clash of the CAF Confederation Cup against Ethiopia’s Wolayta Dicha on Wednesday in Awassa.

Yanga head into the game without their Head Coach George Lwandamina who led them in the first leg win in Dar es Salaam.

That was the last match for the Zambian who left the club and rejoined his former club Zesco United in a two year deal last week.

The Jangwani outfit will be under caretaker coaches Noel Mwandila and Shadrack Nsajigwa who are in charge while the search for a new coach continues.

Yanga will need to escape defeat in order to book a place in the group stage for the second time in three seasons.

The Jangwani club who were without some of their key players such as Obrey Chirwa, Kelvin Yondani, Juma Said and Papy Tshishimbi in the first match due to suspension, will be boosted by their return in the second leg.

However, the squad which left the country on Sunday was without injured players Vincente Andrew, Donald Ngoma, Amis Tambwe and Ibrahim Ajib.

Yanga’s predicted starting line-up

Youthe Rostand, Hassan Kessy, Hajji Mwinyi, Abdallah Shaibu “Ninja”, Kelvin Yondani, Juma Said, Papy Tshishimbi, Yusuph Mhilu, Pius Buswita, Obrey Chirwa, Emmanuel Martin
