Galatasaray chase Moroccan midfielder Younes Belhanda

Dynamo Kyiv’s Moroccan midfielder  Younes Belhanda has attracted interest from Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray.

Belhanda spent a successful season on loan to Ligue 1 side Nice whom he helped to a Uefa Champions League spot after finishing third in the French top tier.

But Nice turned down the opportunity to retain the 27-year-old on a permanent deal, deeming him too expensive.

Belhanda is contracted to Kyiv until June 2018 but with the Istanbul giants' interest, it is highly unlikely that he will return to Ukraine. Igor Tudor’s men finished fourth in the Turkish top tier and will make a return to the Europa League next season.

According to Yahoo Sports, the 2012 French champion is in advanced talks with The Lions. Gala are believed to have proposed a four-year deal for the midfielder, although Kiev’s offer remains unknown.

Belhanda featured 36 times for Les Aiglons in the previous campaign, scored three and assisted seven goals.

He is currently in camp with the Atlas Lions ahead of their crunch opening 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against Cameroon on Saturday.
