Diagne, Badji, Trezeguet score as Kayserispor edge Kasimpasa

Mbaye Diagne, Stephane Badji and Trezeguet scored in Kayserispor’s 3-2 victory over Kasimpasa in Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig encounter at the Kadir Has Stadium.

Diagne who joined the Beyoglu’ outfit from Chinese side Tianjin Teda during the January transfer window marked his sixth appearance for the club with his third goal, though was not enough as ten-man Apaches suffered their seventh away loss in the Turkish elite division this season.

The Senegal international notched the curtain raiser just two minutes into the encounter after he was fed by Markus Neumayr.

However, Deniz Turuc levelled proceedings for the home team in the 20th minute from Erkan Kas’ assist.

On resumption from the break, Kemal Ozdes’ men were dealt a huge blow after Veysel Sari picked up his second booking and was subsequently sent off in the 66th minute.

The Anatolian Star soon capitalised on the incident with Senegal's Stephane Badji scoring eight minutes after the dismissal and Umut Bulut made it 3-1 from the penalty spot in the 78th minute of the tie.

Egypt international Trezeguet scored from the penalty spot but could do little to overturn the deficit as Marius Sumudica’s side ran away with their fifth top-flight win.

Diagne played for 68th minute before making way for Olivier Veigneau while Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo featured from start to finish alongside Trezeguet.

Badji played for the entire duration while Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan replaced Artem Kravets in the 76th minute for the Kayseri outfit.
