Jacob Keli's top form has been intertwined with the good performance of Kenyan Premier League side KCB. On Saturday, Keli was at it again leading his side to a comfortable 2-0 win over 2013 champions Gor Mahia at Kasarani. The win has helped cement KCB's fourth position on the log and they can even fight for second position especially if the two sides ahead of them falter. On a personal level, Keli will look back to the 2013 season as one of his best and at 15 goals already, he looks set to emerge the top scorer considering that he has overtaken Jesse Were. The KCB man has been very consistent through-out the season and would not be a surprise if he were to emerge one of the season's best players.

Congratulations to Jacob Keli Goal.com's 22th Kenya Player of the Week winner!

Honourable Mention

Moses Arita - Sony Sugar

Before Saturday's match against former champions Tusker at Nyayo Stadium, Sony Sugar were lying in danger of being relegated but a hat-trick by Moses Arita enabled the sugar millers to ease their relegation worries. Arita scored in great fashion to punish his former club, who are now in danger of finishing outside the top five despite winning the title last year. The win could not have come at a better time for the sugar millers who will survive if they beat Chemelil Sugar in their match on Wednesday away.

Alloys Mangi-Bandari

Mangi scored a rare double when his side stopped AFC Leopards 2-1 at home and pushed them to fifth spot on the standings. The two goals helped Bandari win their last home fixture and handed Leopards’ stand in coach James Nandwa his first defeat since taking over two months ago and threatens to spoil the party for Leopards, who are eying a second spot on the log. Mangi has been one of the key players, who have helped Bandari register what has turned out to be a very impressive performance despite earning promotion just this season.

Allan Wanga- AFC Leopards'

Wanga was on the mark again scoring for Leopards’, who went down 2-1 to Bandari in Mombasa. Wanga scored first for Ingwe but it was not enough to help his side maintain a 100 percent record in eight matches and has dented but only briefly their hopes for a second spot finish. The Leopards striker has been in top form over the last two months and will be key in helping the team finish in a respectable position. Wanga will also be chasing his own personal achievement of being among the top scorers when the season ends.

Each week our team of writers will put forward a selected candidate, as chosen by Goal.com Kenya, who deserves recognition for achieving something special that matchday.

You can also help us choose a worthy recipient of the weekly accolade by leaving your nominations and comments. Your suggestions will be taken into consideration.

It won't necessarily be the best player in the country - at least not usually - but whoever we crown will have accomplished something amazing. It might be for a particularly awesome performance or for something praiseworthy off the pitch - either way, the person in question deserves special attention...
